Cracking and movement
Cracks in brickwork or render, doors and windows that stick, sloping floors, a sagging roofline. You need to know whether it is cosmetic or structural, what is causing it, and what it takes to stop it.
A building and pest inspection has flagged something structural and you are under contract with a clock running. We assess it and tell you plainly whether it is safe and what it will cost to put right.
Storm, impact or water damage where the insurer, the builder or the loss adjuster needs an engineer to establish cause and set out a repair method. We also write the independent report you put back to an insurer when you disagree with their position.

From $1,450 plus GST for a single dwelling with one site attendance within the Brisbane or Sydney metropolitan area. Beyond metro, multiple buildings, multiple defects, and expert reports for disputes or proceedings are quoted before we start. You will have a fixed number before any work begins. We do not charge hourly rates.
A building inspector can tell you a crack is there. Only an engineer can tell you whether it matters, why it is happening, and what will stop it. If a report has to stand up to an insurer, a certifier or the other side of a dispute, the signature on it is what carries the weight. Anyone can patch a crack. The question is whether it comes back.
Send us photos of the damage, and the building and pest report if you have one. We tell you what we need and give you a fixed fee. We attend, assess and issue the report in 3 to 5 business days.
